What makes a good candidate.
A forehead lift is often performed when treating conditions associated with aging about the eyebrows, periorbital (around the eye) areas and forehead. Lifting these areas gives a refreshed look to the upper face. Younger adults who have a low brow or who already have deep frown lines due to stress or muscle over activity may also benefit from this procedure. Dr. Stanton has strategically redesigned and labeled his technique a “Periorbital Lift” – a proprietary procedure secured with specialized tynes and performed with endoscopic (fiber optic) assistance via three small incisions hidden behind the hairline.
A forehead lift and/or Dr. Stanton’s periorbital lift can improve these problems. It can be performed at the same time as a facelift and/or eyelid surgery. A facelift removes excess skin and tightens muscles in only the mid and lower face. Eyelid surgery may also be recommended in addition to a forehead lift if there is significant skin overhead in the upper eyelids, or puffy bags beneath your eyes.
