For years doctors have been struggling with how to rejuvinate the hands so that they are not a dead-give-away to a patients age especially following a youthful face-lift. Unlike previous lasers, which attempt to treat from the outside, the Dorion Laser uses a sterile microfiber inserted into the lumen of the veins therefore treating from the inside. This approach allows for treatment of much larger hand veins with more precision and a whole lot more efficacy - nearly 100% vs. ~ 20% with current techniques. The procedure takes only about 30-40 minutes per hand and is done under local anesthesia on an outpatient basis. This makes it a very safe procedure for patients of all ages with little downtime (usually about 12 hours of resting the hands and 72 hours of no heavy lifting) and an overall rapid recovery - thus a high satisfaction rate.
